After 20 years abroad, Mark Renton return to Scotland and join with his old friends sick boy, Spud and Begbie. First, there was the betrayal. Twenty years have passed. It not much has changed but much remains the same. Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) to return to the only place he could ever call home. Waiting for him, Spud (Ewen Bremner), a sick boy (Jonny Lee Miller) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Other old friends waiting for: sadness, loss, joy,revenge, hatred, friendship, love, longing, fear, grief, diamorphine, self-destruction and mortal danger, are all lined up to greet him, ready to join the dance.
